Weasel poo (coffee) is good for you

Well rested from a brief interlude in Singapore, I reclined in the cushy sofas of a non-descript cafe in Changi airport with my cup of coffee. No, fear not, I have not let coffee overtake my undying love of tea -- I needed a perk and there were certain buzzwords that caught my eye.

The Vietnamese love their coffee and there was some on hand, delectably called "enzyme coffee".

Intrigued (and startled slightly by the price, around $10 AU a cup) I had to try.

Furnace of tin, sealed, I was curious to see what was inside...

Looks a little gross doesn't it?

The premise behind weasel coffee is that the beans get a richer taste after passing through the digestive tract of this animal. Another... drink for thought when you sip your cup of Joe.

Looks may be deceiving. It was one of the best coffee experiences I've ever had.

Ever yours, MH
